( College of Water Resources Science and Engineering,Taiyuan University of Technology,Taiyuan 030024,Shanxi Province,China)Abstract: Based on the principle of orifice outflow,this paper designed round hole of the new flow meter. The relationship between the wateropening degree,the pressure head and the flow of round hole of flow meter is obtained by experimental research. The results show that thewater flow rate of the device increases with the increase in the pressure head when the water opening degree of the device is constant,whichis multiplied by the power function. And the water opening degree has little effect on the pressure sensitivity coefficient. When the pressurehead is constant,
the opening of the water outlet increases with the distribution flow. And it obtains the empirical formula of the flow rate,
water opening degree and pressure head of the flow meter,
and there is a good consistency with the measured value. The research on thispaper is of great value for the popularization and application of the new flow meter in modern industry.
